Last weekend i went to the Toronto’s Spadina Museum for an exhibit called dressing for Downton- An exhibition featuring costumes and photographs from the series Downton Abbey.(a British period drama television series). (I’m a huge fan of period movies and t.v series! So Game of Thrones, Troy, and Count of Monte Cristo to name a few are my favs). The exhibition- themed tours and teas, took us through the museums’s family and servants’ spaces and links the characters and events from the TV show to real Toronto history. Twenty authentic Downton Abbey costumes from season 1 to 3 were borrowed from the London based costume house that designs and creates the beautiful clothing worn by the cast of the television show. The costumes were all historically accurate and made of new and vintage fabrics. ‘really cool’
What i wore: A dress from a local boutique. I paired it with a blazer from Zara, and Gomax pumps. As you can see in the photos’ i showed it worn two ways. One with a belt from Guess by Marciano, over the blazer opened with my Chanel Purse hanging on my shoulders. Two with the blazer closed and purse as a clutch. Let me know which look you like best.
Have a wonderful day!
